We are very proud of our school uniform at The Rise School and expect it to be worn at all times. All school uniform items can be ordered from School Bells and listed below are all the items pupils must have.
Due to the sensory needs of our pupils the school is happy to make the necessary exemptions for pupils that struggle to wear the authorised school uniform. In these cases, staff shall work with the pupil, parent/carer and school to put in place the correct guidance for the individual pupil.

Financial assistance
Financial assistance with purchasing school uniform is available from some local authorities for the parents of children receiving Free School Meals and also for those experiencing difficulty in meeting the cost of a uniform. To find out if your local authority offers this grant, please go to the GOV UK website for school clothing costs help. If applicable, download and complete the local authority school uniform grant claim form and send direct to them for approval.
If your local authority does not offer this grant, your child may qualify for a clothing grant, funded directly from the school pupil premium income.
Your child may qualify for a clothing grant, if you receive:
- Income support
- Income based Job seekers allowance
- Income based Employment support allowance
- Universal credit, provided your household annual taxable income does not exceed £7,400
- Child tax credit/working tax credit (provided your household income does not exceed £16,190)
- Guaranteed element of Pension credit or
- NASS – Supported by the National Asylum support service.
The grant amount you will receive is £60 per pupil. Here, you can apply for the clothing grant.

Sixth Form
There is no set uniform for pupils in the Sixth Form.
