At The Rise School 40% of pupils attract pupil premium funding.
The Rise School has the highest expectations and aspirations for all its pupils. Each pupil should have equal opportunities to achieve the best possible life chances, irrespective of socio-economic background.
We make every effort to ensure that disadvantaged pupils receive highly effective support and our core vision is to ensure our pupils make excellent progress as a result of the specialist environment, skilled staff team and great teaching they experience.
The aim of the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is to support schools in raising the attainment levels of the most disadvantaged pupils and to ‘close’ or ‘narrow’ the gap that exists. To this end, the Department for Education (DofE) provides additional PPGs to all schools based on pupils:
- Who are currently eligible for Ever 6 Free School Meals (FSM)
- Who are Looked After Children (LACs/CLAs)
- Who are a Ever 6 Service Child (children of Armed Forces Personnel within the last 6 years)
