Following a two-day Ofsted inspection in July 2024, The Rise School has been rated ‘good’ overall, with ‘outstanding’ in the areas of pupil and students’ personal development and sixth form provision.
The report praised the school’s “ambitious academic and personal and social curriculum” which has “been designed to give pupils and students the skills and knowledge they need to become independent adults.” It said: “The school prioritises preparing pupils for adulthood, providing a broad range of activities that help to develop pupils’ interests, resilience, confidence and independence.”
It also noted the work by staff “which enables them to know pupils very well” and commented on the trust built between pupils and the staff team.
We are very pleased that Ofsted has recognised the work taking place at The Rise School to help our learners be themselves and realise their ambitions.
